Sweats streaming down my neck and a t-shirt that is sticking to my skin. That once more is yet another typical day of my campus life. The weather is unforgivingly hot and the sunlight stretches out throughout this little town where there lies nothing that isn't revealed as far as I can see right here, oh yes, in a beloved 'chinese' section of the library located on the 2nd floor. As we speak, this ultra 'chinese' part of the library will even automatically change back to its original 'pin wa' (so shoot me I don't know what on earth you call it) language mode while I'm still keying down my words on the keyboard making my words into chinese characters.

As a demonstration, (heavy) -> 和阿

WHAT ON EARTH???

I am left with a very tired body after having not only a class that starts at 8:00am that counsumes 3 hrs but till the extend of another class of 1 1/2 hrs immediatly right after. Take 1/2 hr break and then torment myself with a 2 hr and literally a redundant lecture class for an English language subject that will can easily make my younger sister at her primary stage to mock the subject itself. The sudden unexpecting sound effects from the lecture slides that makes the entire class look as if everyone is experiencing a stroke at the same time.

With all this lenghty classes and brief breaks in between, I am still left with the very last session of my class that begins at 5:00 pm. I don't know how much more strength am I left with to even attend CF meetings at 8:00 pm.

Oh yes, I'm blaberring out my frustration because it is so HOT and I'm TIRED!

I especially love musics where its lyrics is composed in such a way it sweeps your heart away, giving you the chills (the good kind of course), leaving your soul mesmerized and you secretly act like a diva whenever you sing it out (we all are, so don't you pretend. lol).

My softest spot for music are these kinds of music where they express love is all about not having to use terms like 'boo' or 'shawty' or all those other words that makes my ears bleed and my soul agonised. Here are the few of my selected picks:

I've finally completed my reading Mitch's latest release entitled 'Have a little faith'. Initially, I though that I was going to be sicken of having to read another old and wise dying man that Mitch tends to write about after I have been so faithfully embarked on a journey of reading his work on 'Tuesdays with Morrie' , 'The five people you meet in heaven' and 'For one more day'.

However this man sure knows how to put my assumptions to shame. His works are so compelling. Each book that I put down, I reminisce on what I just read and it open my eyes to cherish every moment you have with the people around you and especially with your family.

Here is a summary taken out from http://mitchalbom.com/books/node/5515

Albom’s first nonfiction book since Tuesdays with Morrie, Have A Little Faith begins with an unusual request: an 82-year-old rabbi from Albom’s old hometown asks him to deliver his eulogy.

Feeling unworthy, Albom insists on understanding the man better, which throws him back into a world of faith he’d left years ago. Meanwhile, closer to his current home, Albom becomes involved with a Detroit pastor – a reformed drug dealer and convict – who preaches to the poor and homeless in a decaying church with a hole in its roof.

Moving between their worlds, Christian and Jewish, African-American and white, impoverished and well-to-do, Mitch observes how these very different men employ faith similarly in fighting for survival: the older, suburban rabbi, embracing it as death approaches; the younger, inner-city pastor relying on it to keep himself and his church afloat.

As America struggles with hard times and people turn more to their beliefs, Mitch and the two men of God explore issues that perplex modern man: how to endure when difficult things happen; what heaven is; intermarriage; forgiveness; doubting God; and the importance of faith in trying times. Although the texts, prayers and histories are different, Albom begins to realize a striking unity between the two worlds - and indeed, between beliefs everywhere.

In the end, as the rabbi nears death and a harsh winter threatens the pastor’s wobbly church, Albom sadly fulfills the last request and writes the eulogy. And he finally understands what both men had been teaching all along: the profound comfort of believing in something bigger than yourself.

Have a Little Faith is a book about a life’s purpose; about losing belief and finding it again; about the divine spark inside us all. It is one man’s journey, but it is everyone’s story.

'Have a little faith' speaks loudly on how important it is with your walk in life with God. Faith is the essence that God assail us though from our doubts and burden of life where men cannot do.

Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world

All and all, take the opportunity to read it. ;)

I admit it. I'm just a lover of teas.

Here are some interesting facts that I plucked out from the web :
  • There are four main types of tea: white, green, oolong, and black. But depending on the influence of culture, these four types can turn into thousands of varieties.
  • Tea can also help regulate cholesterol.
  • Drinking tea is also good for the heart.
  • One pound of loose tea can make about 200 cups.
  • Loose leaf tea can stay for about a year if properly stored and sealed.
  • The tea bag was invented in the early 20th century by a tea merchant named Thomas Sullivan. This was done by accident too.
  • More tea facts about health suggest that tea may help prevent certain cancers, and tea has been known to fight tumors.
  • A cup of tea may keep the dentist away, yes I said 'dentist'. This is because tea helps fight cavities.
  • Don't through that old tea out! Instead try putting it in the refrigerator to help absorb odors, or use in your garden as fertilizer.
  • The English word for tea is, well, "tea". However the Chinese word for tea is "cha".
  • Cold season coming up? Drinking tea helps boost the immune system do to its natural antibacterial properties.
  • Although many tea facts point to white and green teas as being the healthiest, a cup of black or oolong tea proves just as good.
